Strictly’s Flavia dances into Loughborough to open new £10m care home

Strictly Come Dancing’s Flavia Cacace will be waltzing into Loughborough next week as she opens the town’s newest care home, Woodthorpe Lodge.

The Strictly star will be joining Woodthorpe Lodge’s General Manager, Preet Hundal, and Registered Care Manager, Tracy Taylor, on Saturday, September 28 to mark the official opening.

The local community is invited to join the opening day celebrations from 10am, with guided tours of the luxury facilities and the chance to meet the staff who will care for residents and their families. Refreshments and snacks will be served throughout the event.

Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Flavia and get photographs and autographs from 11am. Youngsters from Loughborough Dance School will perform an acrobatic dance for Flavia and guests at 1pm and Flavia will then declare the home officially open with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
